Axegem vs Profound

Which GEO platform fits your business? An honest, side-by-side breakdown of pricing, features, and the segments each one actually serves best.

TL;DR
  • Axegem uses a credits model — no subscription, no monthly fee. Buy a pack from €25 and pay only when GEO audits or fixes run. Self-serve, built natively for Shopify, auto-fix in your store, and AI revenue attribution included on every pack.
  • Profound starts at custom enterprise pricing (reportedly $2,000+/month), is sales-led, and is built for Fortune 500 marketing teams managing brand visibility across many channels and panels.
  • If you're a Shopify merchant under $50M GMV, Axegem is built for you. If you're a F500 brand with a dedicated AEO team and need broad panel data, Profound is the right tier.

When you should pick Profound

  • You're a Fortune 500 brand or large enterprise with a dedicated marketing analytics team
  • You need broad prompt-volume panel data across many AI engines (10+)
  • You have SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA procurement requirements
  • You have budget for a sales-led implementation and an annual contract above $20K
  • Your marketing team already has Lily Ray-tier AEO consultants on retainer and just needs the data layer
  • Customers Profound publicly names on its own site include Target, Walmart, Ramp, MongoDB, Figma, Charlotte Tilbury, and US Bank

When you should pick Axegem

  • You run a Shopify store between $500K and $50M GMV
  • You want to treat AI as an active customer acquisition channel — not just monitor your mention count
  • You want to be running scans within 10 minutes of clicking install, not waiting for a sales call
  • You want fixes that auto-push to your Shopify product descriptions, not just dashboards that show you "you're invisible"
  • You want to see specific Shopify orders attributed back to specific AI assistants (via AI-only promo codes and tagged links)
  • You want to pay per GEO audit and per fix — not a flat monthly fee whether you use the platform or not. Packs start from €25 with free credits to get started.

Pricing

Axegem uses a credits model with no subscription. Three one-time credit packs: Starter (€25 → 3,000 credits), Growth (€75 → 10,000 credits), Scale (€199 → 30,000 credits). Credits never expire and are spent only when work is done — a five-engine GEO audit costs 30 credits (~€0.25), a fix costs 50 credits (~€0.42). Idle months cost nothing. All features — AI revenue attribution, Shopping Readiness, bot analytics, MCP server — are included on every pack with no feature gates.

Profound previously offered Lite plans at $99–$399/month; in early 2026 those tiers were removed, and the public pricing page now reads “currently available through customized enterprise pricing.” Per public press reports, Profound raised a $96M Series C at a reported $1B valuation in February 2026 — the company is heavily focused on enterprise expansion. If you're a sub-$50M Shopify brand, you're not their target customer.
